Head Street archaeological excavation
The red cubes are parts of a plain tessellated floor inside the latest Roman house on the site. The white an yellowish material on top of the floor in patches is debris from the demolition of the house. The white parts are bits of wall plaster and the yellowish material is the remains of clay wall. |
