Burial Chamber 3

The mortuary chamber in Enclosure 3 after excavation. The chamber had vertical sides and a flat floor. The timbers forming the sides were set in a shallow trench (visible in the photograph) around all four of the sides. There were two vertical posts in the middle of two facing sides. The post hole for one of these posts can be seen at the base of the far side of the pit (at the centre)

One of the finds from the burial chamber: A copper-alloy pedestal base which originally supported a metal vessel or a figurine.
