The gaming board as found
The photograph shows the corner pieces of the board and most of the counters. More counters were uncovered later to reveal the layout as shown on the plan above. The doctor's bones are scattered over the right-hand side of the board and some of his instruments lie to the left and in the centre. It looks as if the board was accidently jolted after the pieces were laid out. This would explain why the pieces seem closer to the left-hand side of the board than might be expected. |
