A Map of the Siege of Colchester 1648

A folded map was published by the Trust in 1998 to mark the 350th anniversary of the siege of Colchester. One side of the map features a reproduction of the contemporary news sheet which consists of a diary detailing the progress of the siege and the plan of the siegeworks. On the other side, there is an illustrated account of the archaeology of the event, which includes the latest view on the locations of the earthworks and a summary the Trust's most recent fieldwork on the siegeworks.
